DeFelsko is excited to announce that the new PosiTest HHD High voltage Holiday Detector is now shipping. The PosiTest HHD uses pulse DC technology, offering a user-adjustable voltage range from 0.5 to 35kV for detecting holidays, pinholes and other discontinuities in coatings up to 20 mm (780 mils) thick.

The versatile PosiTest HHD is ideal for use with a wide range of rolling spring and flat wire brush electrodes — custom sizes are available upon request. Alternatively, use existing electrodes with industry-standard adaptors.

Introducing the newly redesigned PosiTector 6000 FXS Xtreme Coating Thickness probe – built for hot surfaces and rugged applications including hot dipped and thermally sprayed galvanizing on steel. This updated probe features an improved zirconia-toughened alumina wear face and a new braided stainless steel cable making it ideal for harsh conditions and continuous measurement on hot substrates up to 250˚ C (500˚ F).

The PosiTector 6000 FXS Xtreme probe now features an increased range of 0 – 2000 µm (80 mil).

DeFelsko is excited to announce two new zero plate sizes for use with PosiTector 6000 probes. Now available in small, medium and large sizes with steel and aluminum (6061-T6) options.

The new larger Zero Plates feature precision machined metal with an increased surface area and thickness. They are ideal for use when verifying the accuracy or operation of PosiTector 6000 thick probes using Certified Polystyrene blocks and shims.

The new PosiTest PC Powder Checker measures uncured powder coatings using non-contact ultrasound technology to predict a cured thickness. The instrument has been completely redesigned as a dedicated stand-alone unit -- no PosiTector gage body required. With a measurement speed up to 4x faster than previous models the new PosiTest PC is easier to use, especially on moving parts and challenging geometries.

The new PosiTector UTG CX Xtreme corrosion probe features the same trusted and precise ultrasonic technology as the PosiTector UTG Cprobe but with the addition of a robust braided stainless steel cable. It is the direct result of inspectors’ requests for a probe that features the same accuracy and ease-of-use of the current PosiTector UTG C but with the ruggedness to handle demanding applications.

The new PosiTector IRT non-contact Infrared Thermometer measures surface temperature from a distance - ideal for areas where conventional sensors will not work including hard to reach areas and moving parts. PosiTrack is an online portal offering free gage management tools to print Certificates of Calibration, set email calibration reminders and access service forms. The interface displays a list of equipment with serial numbers alongside calibration and in-service dates, greatly simplifying recalibration and management of DeFelsko Inspection Instruments. 

• Print Replacement Certificates of Calibration
  Customers no longer need to worry about misplacing Certificates of Calibration. Certificates generated by DeFelsko after December 4, 2016 are available in this system and can be accessed using the instrument's serial number. For certificates prior to that date, email service@defelsko.com.
• Print Service Forms for Recalibration and Repair
  After an instrument and address are added to the system, the downloadable service form automatically populates instrument and user details. Simply print the form and include it with instruments shipped to DeFelsko for recalibration and repair. 
• ‍Set Email Calibration Reminders
  For users with fixed calibration requirements, reminder emails make compliance easy. Once set, an email will be sent two weeks before the calibration interval expires. The interval begins on the later of (a) the last certification date or (b) the user-specified date in-service.

DeFelsko is pleased to announce the new Abrasives Test Kit for measuring the concentration of soluble salts in blast cleaning abrasives in accordance with ASTM D4940 and ISO 11127-6. The Abrasives Test Kit is ideal for use with the PosiTector SST Soluble Salt Tester and other conductivity meters. 

To accommodate the new test kit, the measurement range of the PosiTector SST has been increased from 0 - 500 µS/cm to 0 - 1500 µS/cm. Existing probes can display measurements within the increased range after a gage update, but only probes shipped after March 12, 2018 are calibrated over the extended range, as reflected on the Certificate of Calibration.

DeFelsko is pleased to announce the latest addition to the PosiTector DPM Dew Point Meter family. The PosiTector DPM IR includes the ambient temperature and humidity sensors from the PosiTector DPM Integral Probe plus an infrared surface temperature sensor. The infrared sensor doesn't require contact with the surface, making the inspection of large areas quick and easy. The 4:1 distance to spot ratio will average the temperature over a larger area making it ideal for quickly scanning large structures.
